What is a Live Break?

At Card Addicts, when we talk about a Live Break, we mean the ultimate real-time collecting experience.

A live break is the opening (rip) of one or more sealed card boxes, broadcast live. Participants purchase a spot before the break — and each spot corresponds to a specific team, player, category, or numerical position, depending on the type of break.

What does it mean to get a spot?

When you purchase a spot in a live break:

  • You secure the rights to all cards pulled during the live that match your spot.
  • If a card of your team/player/category appears, it belongs to you.
  • You watch the process live and experience the excitement of the opening with us.
What can I pull?

Depending on the product being opened, you may pull:

  • Base cards
  • Inserts
  • Numbered cards
  • Parallels
  • Autographs
  • Memorabilia cards
  • Rare or limited edition hits

Each box has a different composition and odds, determined solely by the manufacturer.

Is it guaranteed that I’ll get something?

No.

Purchasing a spot in a live break does not guarantee that a card will be pulled for your spot. There is a chance that no card matching your selection will appear. The outcome depends entirely on the random contents of the sealed boxes.

A live break is a collecting experience with an element of chance — not an investment with guaranteed returns.

How are your cards protected?

For us, the break is just the beginning.

Every card pulled during the live:

  • Is immediately placed in a sleeve
  • Goes into a top loader when required
  • High-value cards are placed in a magnetic holder (one-touch)
  • Is carefully packed and stored with attention

Packaging and shipping are handled with great care to ensure your cards arrive in excellent condition, exactly as they came out of the box.
